I am talking about bugs. I have no specific details because I don't know what they look like. How far can one listen in for? Any limit or x number of miles? These are people I know, not necessarily the government.

  1. Drive an old car.

  2. You have me curious, what eavesdropping devices are you talking about? If you mean c**p like "onstar of gps" just take it out or disconnect them.

  3. What the h**l are you on about? easedropping devices????

  4. They really hide some of the devices, and it would require major dismantling of the vehicle to root them out.  Others are in plain sight, but are disguised as radio k***s, cigarette lighters, glove compartment locks, headlight dimmer switches, night mirror adjustment levers, e-brake release buttons, etc.  Usually the only way to ensure all the devices are deactivated is to submerge the car in a river for a few days, to short out the mini broadcast antennae.

Sometimes wearing a tin-foil hat deflects the signals.

  5. This cannot be done.......it would cost to much.....

  6. Just leave them there and talk about really boring things while you are driving.  I'll, I mean THEY will get sick of them soon enough and remove them to put somewhere else

  7. The only 'eavesdropping' devices in  your car is the OnStar system, and you can disconnect it.

Other than that, auto companies don't put in any other devices to put in cars for the fact that it's invasion of privacy (See: State of Michigan v. Bill Brown Ford), and the cost would make the cars wicked expensive.

  8. ride a bike

  9. If you've ever touched a penny, the government has your DNA on file.  They know who you are, where you are, and what you do.  You could submerge your car in a river but they still have ways to read your thoughts from satellites in outer space.  There is no use hiding.

Fred's right.  Put on that tinfoil hat and watch out for black helicopters!
