  1. If you know where and when he married, the parents' names of both parties are usually stated. Depending where the marriage took place, a record may be available online.


  2. UK answer.

    You could try www.ancestry.co.uk  it should be on there for certain, their indice  date from 1st July 1837 - 31st December 2005. They have pay per view vouchers now. You could also give your grandfathers name, year of birth and location. There are lots of willing researchers on here who really like a challenge.

  3. In the U. S., usually the death certifcate will have that information.   You probably won't find it on line.  Ancestry.Com has indexes of death records but they usually don't give parents' names.  I think Colorado's are an exception.

    Each state has its own laws about who, when and where a person can obtain vital records on another.
