When she picked me up from school Friday, she was drunk and driving fast. She really scared me a lot and I thought we were going to crash. She started drinking 4 years ago after my dad died. Nobody else in my family will listen to me, they just ignore it. Who can I tell?

  1. Convince your mom to enter at any alcoholism rehab center to help her take away alcohol in her system. A lot of people can help her in her treatment at rehab center.

  2. I understand what you are going through because my mom is a recovering alcoholic... there is not much you can do except to try and help yourself... you are just as sick as your mom and that is something you learn if you go to alateen.. i never went to any support groups but my dad has.. as for her picking you up drunk.. is there anyone that you could call when she does that.. im sure you can tell as soon as you get in the car if she is drunk.. if she is you need to get out right away and call someone you trust that would be willing to help you and pick you up right away.. even if its that hard for you to live with her do you have any grandparents or aunts or uncles that you could stay with? Maybe you need some hard evidence to prove that she is an alcoholic so they will stop denying it. I hope everything works out for you.

  3. You should never get in the car with a drunk driver, even if that driver is your mother.  If she comes to pick you up again, drunk, do not get in the car with her.  Go back into the school and notify an adult.  Do not get in the car.

You can't do a whole lot about her drinking, honestly...but you can protect yourself.

So sorry about your situation, and good luck.
