I know nothing about external hard drives. Anyone know anything about them?

Say if you were to get an external hard drive, and it doesnt matter how big it is. Okay, if i plug it up to a computer that has a very small hard drive and i want to install antivirus software and whatnot, would i install it to the external hard drive? and does it work? remember now, i know nothing about external hard drives. so dont laugh and dont answer with stupid answers.

Had you used pen drives or flash drive before? Or had you used CDs before? It is something similar, an additional storage space to put your files.

And NO. You NO NEED to install another copy of Windows to use it. You NO NEED to install another copy of antivirus to use it.

But you NEED to format it into FAT or NTFS to use it. If you're using Windows 98, you NEED to install driver to use it.

Other than that, it is pretty straight forward.
