  1. Check with your local hospital and health department.  They has lots of information to help you stop smoking.  They may even offer free smoking cessation classes.

    At the beginning you may lose some concentration, become more nervous, and gain a little weight.  But they will show you what to do to correct that.

    I smoked for 30 years.  I now have COPD and early emphysema.  I stopped smoking 4 years ago.  Now each morning I get up, I don't cough for 15 minutes in the bathroom.

    Best to get the book Australian Bush Flower Healing and read up on it, or look for a practitioner that uses them.

  3. how about meditation or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)...the first is harder, although can be done with minimal research completely on your own with no cost, the second may cost some at first, although can also be done on your own, and is, in my experience, easier. good luck!

  4. Nothing, really. I mean, cocaine and speed, but for obvious reasons you want to stay away from them. Ritalin, but I'm afraid it's not much better than legal cocaine. So my suggestion would be to stick with nicotine and use the Commit nicotine lozenges. They have much the same effect as smoking, but without the cancer risk. The main trick is going from one to the other -- you'll have some withdrawal symptoms as your body adjusts to the lower, more gradually released dose of nicotine. If that doesn't work for you, look at the mini e-cigarette -- it's pretty much just like smoking, but again, without the risk of cancer or COPD.

    just quit you will be fine,

    save the money you normally buy cigarettes with at the end of each  month you might have a car payment covered.

    wouldn't that be nice to drive in a new Car , rather than breathing all that dirty smoke into you lungs

  6. W ell I do know that getting Cancer will keep you very focused.I would try just about anything to stop. Have you ever seen or taken care of a person with cancer. It's not pretty. Or watch a person you love, fight for every breath they take. Never mind the cost or the social aspect of it, respect your body and live!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I am a long time smoker for the same reason and was just recently diagnosed ADD! Go see a psychologist add get evaluated-its not a bad thing!
