I know stereotyping is wrong but we still do it so..

Question

What automatically comes to mind when you think of an English person?

I know most people on here are from America and many people have different (sometimes weird ) ideas of English people. So like if you could tell me what you think I would appreciate it!

I am just doing this for curiosity and amusement btw no one should get offended :)

I think they are friendly, but I'd be nervous about not understanding what they are saying.  And the humor...

One bad experience- I had a fat white british supervisor once who only dated black men & had a problem with me. (steryotypical, but true...)

i think of their accents then i think of British Invasion bands

We stereotype English people for being uptight, having bad teeth, speaking in a clear and more advanced English accent, and drinking tea more often than us.

I think of the accent how they like to say bloody and bloke.

I think of kings and queens and princes - kinda old fashioned but it is like a fairy tail.

I think of tea and crumpets

I think of your famous people like Victoria and David Beckham, Katie Price, sugababes  Simon Cowell, Amy Whinehouse Charolete etc.

I think of those guards that wear those furry hats who dont move or blink.

Sometimes I think English people are too proper but they will be straightforward and honest.

Well, first of all we think of their accents.

Then comes the bad teeth, followed by the

tea with scones and crumpets.

The comes the "chips" which are actually fries,

followed up by frequent drinking of beer And playing of rugby.

I also know many more, these are just on the top of my head.

(We brainstormed this with my friend who moved here from Whales last summer, comparing American vs. British stereotypes lol.)

I think of my ancestors who moved from England to America for a better life! :) And with HARD WORK, not people giving them everything, they got it!
