I know tevas are a great outdoors and rafting sandal but what other brands are good?

i used to have some that started with an s and they were good but i cant remember them though.

I LOVE Chaco's... i have hiked parts of the AT, all over the east coast and throughout Europe in mine... best sandals i have ever owned... plus customer service is great and they have resoled mine twice ( I have had one pair for 12 years!!!)

I love Keen for their protective toe.  Also check out Salomon's amphibious line.

I used Tevas for years of whitewater rafting & kayaking, but saw a couple of foot injuries and have heard of more.  I now use a closed shoe for more protection...  I started with regular tennies but then moved to a specially designed whitewater shoe.  The ones I have are no longer made, but a similar shoe is the Nike ACG Toketee, which looks like a combination scuba booty and climbing shoe.  Five Ten's "Water Tennie" also looks promising.
