I know that Manfred wrote the song, Blinded by the Light, but the version I hear on the radio is not on iTunes

How can I find the song I hear on the radio on iTunes?

Bruce Springsteen originally wrote and recorded "Blinded By The Light" in 1973.  It was released in the U.S. where it flopped.      Manfred Mann's Earth Band recorded it in 1976, and it was more well-received.  If you are hearing the Manfred Mann song, that is because it is the more well-recognized and more popular version.  You may have to do some digging on other mp3 sites like skreemr or a torrent site to find either version.

Here's a bit of trivia:  Springsteen originally wrote the lyrics "Cut loose like a Deuce", whereas Manfred Mann sang it as "Revved up like a Deuce."  The Deuce in question is a 1932 Ford hotrod.  Springsteen's version made much more since.

Some songs are just not available on I tunes and unfortuneately since it was Manfred Mann's (actually called Manfred Mann's earth band when the song was released) only real success (they are from the UK), I wouldn't expect to see it there either.

And the posters are right, It was originally written by Bruce Springsteen and released on his "greetings from Ashbury Park,NJ" album

The 7 minute version from Manfred Mann's Earth Band was originially on the 1976 album "the roaring silence"

If you can't find on I tunes with these hints, best to try and find a mp3 of it..Sorry

BTW, Manfred Mann also BUTCHERED 'Spirits in the Night' by Springsteen, as if 'Blinded by the Light' wasn't bad enough!
