I know that iam 1/2 german &1/4 british but my grandfathers blood im not sure his last name was white?

Im guessing with a last name being white is most likely british-isles his mothers last name was edgin.

If you locate any valid documents concerning him (birth/ death certificate, etc), it will give you info as to his place of birth, etc.

What his last name was, is not going to tell you anything but generalities.  Using documentation will provide valid facts. This applies to all of your ancestors.

Could be but also might be Anglicanized from German or any other nationality
