  3. HHH .VS. Great Khali:

Using a devastating Pedigree, WWE Champion Triple H toppled his largest opponent ever – the 7-foot, 3-inch, 420-pound Great Khali – to retain his title at the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer.

In their first-ever match, The Game and the Punjabi Giant exchanged a series of attacks with one goal in mind – the WWE Championship.

In the weeks leading up to SummerSlam, both Superstars made their intentions known in encounters on SmackDown – neither was backing down from the other.

First, The King of Kings took on The Great Khali in a risky Indian Broken Glass Arm Wrestling Contest. But before a winner could be determined, the Punjabi Giant head butted the champion and crushed his head with an overpowering Vise Grip. Then, just one week later on SmackDown, the two clashed again with The Game knocking the giant off of his feet and out of the ring. In both SmackDown encounters, The Game failed to lock The Great Khali in the Pedigree.

But at SummerSlam, The King of Kings was able to battle back from sessions in the Khali Vise Grip and a vicious Khali Chop to apply his signature move and pick up the victory and retain the gold.

Since coming to SmackDown from Raw via the 2008 WWE Draft, Triple H has rocked Edge’s world with hidden video footage of the Rated-R Superstar. And now, The Game has defeated the 420-pound Punjabi Giant. Who or what can stop The King of Kings?

    Undertaker .VS. Edge:

Edge’s path to salvation ended at SummerSlam, when Undertaker returned and sent the Rated-R Superstar straight to h**l after a destructive and demonic h**l in a Cell Match.

After being banished at One Night Stand at the hands of Edge and his wife, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero, The Phenom’s resurgence at SummerSlam may have banished Edge to a much worse place, and has sent notice to all of WWE – Undertaker is back. And with all due respect to SmackDown’s GM, h**l hath no fury like The Deadman scorned.

While Edge’s recent attitude change made the WWE Universe believe he could withstand the onslaught that was expected, nothing could prepare anyone for the damning the Rated-R Superstar faced in the “Devil’s Playground.” Despite his best efforts – including an incredible running spear through the announce tables after the Cell broke open during the contest, the use of a ladder and many other weapons – Edge could not overcome the anger-fueled attacks of The Phenom. After a devastating Tombstone sealed the win for Undertaker, he unleashed his aggression on the Rated-R Superstar, chokeslamming Edge from the top of a ladder through the ring.

Just as it seemed that Undertaker was content with this destruction, he raised his hands in the air, and flames erupted from underneath the ring where Edge had just sunk in. What does this mean for the Ultimate Opportunist?

Now that Undertaker has seemingly earned his revenge, will the WWE Universe see Edge ever again? Will The Deadman turn his attention to Edge’s bride and make Guerrero pay for her part in his banishment?

    CM Punk .VS. JBL:

After constantly being called an undeserving World Heavyweight Champion by John “Bradshaw” Layfield, CM Punk endured yet another challenging opponent when he pinned the self-proclaimed “wrestling god” at SummerSlam.

When the Straightedge Superstar exercised his title match opportunity, cashing in his Money in the Bank Ladder Match reward from WrestleMania and taking advantage of a semi-conscious Edge, it was met with some controversy. JBL was not quiet when it came to his opinion of the title’s validity being compromised – even after he challenged and lost to CM Punk the night the Straightedge Superstar captured the gold.

JBL earned this SummerSlam showdown on Raw when General Manager Mike Adamle called for the Longhorn Loudmouth & Chris Jericho to take on Punk in a Handicap Match under the stipulation that whoever pinned Punk would earn a World Heavyweight Title Match. JBL’s fortunate cover of the World Heavyweight Champion was widely criticized.

Despite his vast claims, JBL failed to make the most of his opening at SummerSlam, only adding himself to Punk’s list of victims since fastening the gold around his waist.

    Matt Hardy .VS. Mark Henry:

Forty percent of the WWE Universe predicted Mark Henry would remain ECW Champion after SummerSlam, but nobody could have guessed how the events of the night would unfold. After challenger Matt Hardy fell victim to an attack by WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, and Henry retained the gold via disqualification, Jeff Hardy rushed to his brother's side and leveled Atlas before the siblings teamed up on Henry for a double-suplex.

The lack of closure in Indianapolis simply adds more fuel to the fiery rivalry between Hardy and the World’s Strongest Champion. Their SummerSlam contest was arranged just two days after Henry retained the gold at The Great American Bash. Since that day, Henry has shown nothing but confidence and the challenger has been a poster image of determination.

Last week on ECW, the competitors were forced to work together in tag team action. Despite earning a win, their temporary alliance proved to be mission impossible when the ECW Champion buried Hardy with the World’s Strongest Slam.

Hardy has endured attack after attack from Mark Henry and his associates, but the zealous Superstar continues to fight. How much more will he have to endure in order to be ECW Champion?

    Batista .VS. John Cena:

Two of the most dominant WWE Superstars of this decade – Batista and John Cena – weaved very parallel career paths that ultimately intersected at SummerSlam, and the eagerly anticipated one-on-one confrontation ended with The Animal roaring in victory.

The blockbuster battle more than six years in the making was a match for the ages. When both men first debuted in 2002, perhaps only a few of sports-entertainment’s most erudite maestros could foresee the achievements that awaited Cena and Batista.

From their initial appearances on SmackDown to each man’s respective World Championship triumph at WrestleMania 21 (the first of several for both), The Animal and the Chain Gang Commander would permanently alter the WWE landscape.

Their first-ever singles bout at SummerSlam was no different, as the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer bore one of the most memorable and iconic collisions for all time. But, like other much lauded SummerSlam showdowns including WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hit Man” Hart vs. British Bulldog in 1992 and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. Undertaker in ’98, only one man could emerge the victor.

Each Superstar familiar with having the distinct strength advantage, the very recent former co-holders of the World Tag Team Titles unleashed a torrent of power moves that would have easily finished many other contenders. They even ventured into the submission realm; Cena locking in the STFU and Batista clinching his mentor Ric Flair’s signature Figure-Four Leglock.

Toe-to-toe they stood until the clash of resilience and raw force came to a climactic close. The Animal earlier recovered from an earth-rattling FU and returned the favor by catching a high-flying Cena mid-air for a modified Batista Bomb. When the Chain Gang Commander mustered the gumption to kick out, The Animal went rabid, into an even fiercer mode.

With that, Batista hoisted his rival for yet another tumultuous powerbomb, covered him and proved himself to be three seconds better than John Cena on this historic night.

With this mammoth win over a fellow Raw Superstar and top contender, The Animal has unquestionably clawed his way back to the World Heavyweight Championship track. Don’t expect, however, to not see Cena pick himself up and climb his way back to the top alongside Batista … potentially for a rematch the entire WWE Universe would clamor to witness.

    MVP .VS. Jeff Hardy:

Tonight at the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer, a fired-up MVP overcame the high-flying Jeff Hardy in a hard fought bout, thanks in part to the involvement of United States Champion Shelton Benjamin.

The match proved to be a furious battle from the very beginning. With a combination of fast-paced maneuvers and grueling holds, the personal animosity between both Superstars kept them fighting to the bitter end. Every time it looked like MVP might put him away, Hardy refused to give up. Then, when it looked as if the Legend Thriller had overcome MVP and was going to deliver a winning Swanton Bomb, United States Champion Shelton Benjamin emerged from nowhere and distracted Hardy long enough for Porter to turn the tables and pick up the victory.

Benjamin has lived in the backdrop of MVP collision course with Jeff Hardy over the past several weeks. Spawned from the foundations of a heated conflict between the Ballin’ Superstar and Hardy’s brother, Matt, their hatred has grown into a towering inferno. A controversial VIP Lounge where MVP openly exploited Hardy’s personal mishaps from the past year – setbacks that had caused him to miss WrestleMania XXIV and lose his home – ignited the rivalry. Hardy’s retaliation was a Twist of Fate after MVP’s match the following week and the Franchise Playa’s subsequent interference in three of Hardy’s matches fueled the flame. And Hardy’s Stereo Swanton Bomb on both MVP and the reigning United States Champion Benjamin after the Ballin’ Superstar’s third sneak attack set the fuse that would to lead to their explosive SummerSlam showdown.

Despite the outcome of this match, it could be Shelton Benjamin who feels the ultimate fury when all is said and done.

    Winners Take All:

The unlikely lovebirds prevailed to win the gold at the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer. After defeating Kofi Kingston & Mickie James in the Winners Take All Match at SummerSlam, Santino Marella is the new Intercontinental Champion and Beth Phoenix is the new Women’s Champion.

When Raw General Manager Mike Adamle made the “Adamle Original” match, the rules stated the titles would go to the team getting the pinfall or submission. After James hit Marella with a brutal DDT, The Glamazon retaliated and pinned the Diva for the intergender tag team win. Phoenix is now a two-time Women’s Champion, and Marella is a two-time holder of the Intercontinental Title.

After the match, Phoenix proved her strength once again when she carried her unibrow-sporting, gold-toting boyfriend up the ramp in celebration. That’s amore! With “Glamarella” holding two very prestigious WWE titles, will anyone be able to stop this unlikely couple?

    HBK's Annoucement:

The mood suddenly turned solemn at the Conseco Fieldhouse as Shawn Michaels stepped out in front of the WWE Universe with his wife Rebecca to make an announcement that all our WWE fans have been both awaiting and fearing at the same time. That sentiment turned to disgust thanks to Chris Jericho.

If it weren’t for the despicable actions of Jericho in the first place, Michaels wouldn’t be in this situation with his potential retirement looming in the air. In multiple altercations with the man formerly referred to as Y2J, Michaels has injured and re-injured his eye, even possibly detaching his retina.

After Michaels announced that he would take his doctor’s advice and hang up his boots, Chris Jericho’s music blasted through the arena to interrupt The Showstopper’s emotional farewell. What followed was a war of words between the two, but the situation then escalated to unimaginable heights.

Following Jericho demanding that Michaels tell his wife, his children and all the WWE Universe that Jericho was the reason that HBK had to retire, a proud Michaels agreed only if Jericho went home and told his own wife and children that he will never be The Showstopper. These words sent his rival over the edge. In an attempt to attack HBK, Jericho missed and struck Michaels’ wife Rebecca instead.

Immediately after, Michaels dropped down by his wife’s side tending to her and holding her in his arms. The whole time Michaels and WWE officials cared for Rebecca, Jericho just stared on as he slowly backed his way up the ramp to the locker room area.

There is no doubt that even though Jericho may believe he has matured and is looking to take his career to new heights as his own savior, he has - in reality - only sunk lower then ever before, especially following his inexcusable actions at SummerSlam.

Also, where does this leave HBK? Can he truly walk away after what Jericho did to his wife?

  4. Sure can.

    Jeff Hardy vs MVP

-Most of the match was in the ring. Jeff knocked MVP out of the ring once against the wall. MVP had Jeff hanging upside down from the ropes at a point and he picked Jeff up and knocked him back into the turnbuckle headfirst. Jeff did a Whisper in the Wind on MVP and then got up to do a Swanton but Shelton Benjamin came out. Jeff jumped out of the ring onto Shelton and then got back up to do the Swanton on MVP. He did, but MVP rolled out of the way at the last second and did a Drive by Kick to Jeff's head and got the pinfall.

Santino and Beth were backstage with Maria who was doing the interview. Santino commented that Maria let herself go since he broke up with her. She made fun of his unibrow. He said "Do not make fun of my manscaping" lol. A

    Then the match.

It started with Beth and Mickie and the tag was made to Santino. Mickie got the tag to Kofi and it went on for a while. Eventually Santino and Beth both got knocked out of the ring and they were arguing. Kofi started running towards them like he was going to do a suicide dive and Santino leaped up into Beth's arms like a little girl. Then they got back in the ring and Santino ended up knocking Kofi completely out of the ring. Mickie did a DDT on Santino but turned around to get a facebuster by Beth. Beth got the pinfall.

    Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry

Matt came out and did an early Twist of Fate and almost got the pinfall, about eight seconds in the match. Tony Atlas pulled Matt's feet out and the ref counted the match as a disqualification. Matt started beating on Tony and got knocked to the ground. Jeff Hardy ran out and they took out Tony and Mark. Matt was counted as the winner because of the disqulification, but he didn't get the title because titles don't change during disqualifications.

    CM Punk vs. JBL

-It was a good match. JBL did a lot of clotheslines. At one point, JBL did a move and ended up accidently banging his head into CM Punk's. The back of CM Punk's head started bleeding. Punk ended up getting a pinfall by doing a GTS.

    Great Khali vs. Triple H.

Alot of the match was spent with Khali doing submission moves like the Anaconda Vice Grip or this move where he looked like he was pushing his shoulders and neck down. Triple H tried everytime to get the Pedigree. Khali got knocked out of the ring once. Triple H eventually won with the Pedigree.

    Batista vs. Cena

It was a great match. John Cena did the STFU on Batista and Batista made it to the ropes and did a reverse STFU on Cena. He also did a figure four leg lock on Cena. Cena tried to do the FU a couple times and Batista countered but Cena finally did the FU, followed by the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena tried to jump off the top rope but got powerbombed midair. Then he got Batista Bombed and Batista got the pinfall.

    Undertaker vs Edge.

Edge came into the ring with a crazy smile on his face. La Familia was watching backstage. The match consisted of Edge getting slammed into the stairs, but he got under the ring and pulled out tables, ladders and chairs and used them ALL on Taker. At one point, they accidently busted down one of the cell walls. Edge speared Taker through the Spanish announce table and hit him with a camera. Taker hit him back with a camera. Eventually Taker got the win with a tombstone. He was about to leave when he noticed Edge still squirming. He got back into the ring and got Edge up on a ladder. He said "Now you're going to h**l" and chokeslammed Edge off the ladder. Edge busted completely through the ring. Fire came up out of the hole.

    HBK's announcement.

-HBK and his wife came out. He said he decided it was time to listen to the doctor who suggested he hang the boots up. Jericho came out and said "NO. I don't want you to retire because of the doctor, because of injuries. I want you to admit that you're leaving because of me. I want you to go home to your wife and to your kids and admit it"

HBK said "Okay I'll go home and tell my wife and kids - Daddy can't wrestle anymore because of the actions of a selfish, pathetic, usless human being like you. ..but I want you to go home to your wife and kids and say . . . Daddy will never be Shawn Michaels" Shawn's wife urged him to leave the ring and they turned to leave but Jericho pulled him back to punched him. HBK ducked and his wife accidently got punched instead. Jericho left about five minutes later HBK and his wife did too.

Wow I did all that by memory :)
