  2. King snakes are not poisonous.  Not even Floridian King Snakes.

    As for telling the difference between Coral and King...

    Red touch yellow, kill a fellow.

    Red touch black, venom lack.

    The probably wouldn't kill you anyway but the rhyme works.

  4. No king snakes of any kind are not venomis, just can't mix with any other snake b/c they will eat them. They can survive venom,but eat others so keep it solitary.

  5. no, the only venomous species in Florida are the Moccasin/Cotton Mouth, Copperhead, Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake, Pygmy Rattlesnake, and Coral Snake. be sure you do not mistake the Coral Snake for a Scarlet King Snake, as they have similar patterns. if the red stripes touch the yellow stripes, its is a coral snake. if you are unsure, it is always best to leave the animal alone.
