  1. The heart is not like the other organs, it is a muscle.

For some reason, cancer is not known to strike muscle, as cancer is primarily a soft tissue disease.

  2. Heart cancer is an extremely rare form of cancer. Heart cancer is divided into primary tumors of the heart and secondary tumors of the heart. Most heart cancers are benign myxomas, fibromas, rhabdomyomas and hamartomas, although malignant sarcomas (such as angiosarcoma or cardiac sarcoma) have been known to occur.... In addition the heart can be affected by treatment for cancer in other parts of the body.

  3. Heart disease, that is cancer of the heart. Heart disease really means any serious problem concerning the heart

  4. If you never hear about it, that's only because you are not paying sufficient attention.  Though it is somewhat rarer, angiosarcoma (cancer of the heart muscle or blood vessels) strikes a significant number of people each year.

  5. There are over 200 different type of cancer. You don't hear about those other types of cancer either . . but they exist. Heart cancer definitely occurs, but it is rare in the population. Unfortunately I know a young man right now who has a malignant primary tumor in his heart. It is a dsrct sarcoma and there is nothing that the doctors can do for him. He just got married. He lives as normally as possible but frequently his heart rate will increase so much that they rush him to the hospital.

Malignant tumors of the heart include rhabdomyosarcoma, angiosarcoma, myxosarcoma, fibrosarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, reticulum cell sarcoma, desmoplastic sarcoma,  and liposarcoma. Other types of cancer associated with the heart are called Angiosarcoma which is called Heart cancer or Cardiac cancer.

Incidentally it is not true that cancer does not affect the muscles in the body . . it does . . there are over 60 subtypes of sarcoma which is cancer of the bone, muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, fat, and soft tissue found within the body. Cardiac cancer is one of them.
