  1. I doubt it....think it is too far...look up cancun and Miami on Yahoo maps and see how far it is.

  2. Abono117 is 100% correct.

  3. I would think you'd have to take a short cruise of some sort.  It is kind of a long way for a ferry.

    Edit: Maybe?

  4. That would be a pretty long ferry ride.  I'm sure you can take some sort of boat over.  Not sure it would be worth it though.  Your time would much better be spent relaxing in Miami.  If you want to go to Cancun one of these days, do a trip just for that.

  5. There were two ferries that ran out of Tampa. The first company that made the 34 hour, 225 mile run made their last trip 8 or 10 years ago. Another  ferry (a Canadian ship called the Scotia Prince) made its last voyage a few years ago. The Scotia Prince stopped running because the winter tides in Cancun (Puerto Morelos) were to low for the ferry to get into port. The Mexican government refused to dredge the port, and that was the end of the ferry service. There has never been ferry service from Miami. The Scotia Prince normally runs from Porland Maine to Nova Scotia during the summer months, and is capable of carrying appox. 500 people in cabins, and up to 100 vehicles below decks, including tractor trailers.

I've never heard of anyone visiting Cancun for a day or two.
