Question:

I know this is a silly question but do we have to have favor tags on our wedding favors?

We have 4"x4"x2" boxes and a 1 1/2" of white satin ribbon wrapped around the black box. Is it necessary to have a favor tag? People are going to eat whats in there anyways. We are going to have home baked cookies inside the favors. Can we just put a thank you sticker in there?

  1. I think it will be nice to have a memento from the tag, since, as you say, the contents will be eaten.

For example, you might have it say - "United in Love" X & Y Sept. 4, 2008.

  2. You don't have to have a favor tag if you wish not to, most people do put them on there just to have a place to say thank you or place your names and date, but you can do the sticker inside if you wish. But since it's food you may not want to place it inside with the food some people can be a bit snotty about there food.

  3. no you don't have to. i didn't for mine

  4. Personally, I'd just pass out the goodies.  Forget the boxes and tags and thank yous.  If you're not giving a memento, something for them to treasure and keep always [heh, gag me], then the box and everything else is just a waste.

Oh, but it sounds like you already HAVE the boxes and ribbons.  Again, I'd say to skip the tags and stuff.  They know what it is and what it's for!

  5. no

  6. Tags aren't necessary. And I am assuming you will send thank you notes to all of your guests anyway. So you can just give them the boxes, and say thank you at a later date. Luck!

  7. k

  8. I don't think it is necessary to give favors.
