I know this is an odd question but what did the female native americans do when they were on their period?

Actually what did any female do when her period started before pads were invented?

  2. They made their own. Pads are hardly a new invention. They go back several thousand years.

  3. I often wonder this myself... I think they just used rags.. that's why it's called being "on the rag" sometimes...

  4. They used what we call rags.  They used skin from an animal to cover themselves up. So that they wouldn't bleed every where.

  5. I think they use anything, or they but put cloth in there underwear? If they even wear that.

  6. probably hide pads stuffed with moss, or wool somthing that is absorbant.

  7. i know that women in remote african tribes pick wild cotton to use as pads, but native americans, wouldn't have a clue. probably something similar.
