You could have the companys name on one side and the other a big green recycle triangle that says PLEASE RECYCLE ME. That would cause plastic bags people to lose their job, but to help out the trees they would get paid the same amont as their before job as bagg-makers did and all they would have to do is plant trees in the community. See it all works out fine- recycling to help the enviroment, not as much pollution, more trees, the community looks nicer, we give back to the community, people can vollunteer to help, an easy job for drop-ots who are still giving back even if they can't become big enough people to have their voice heard, and the world will once again be a better place!

Even if you fing this question dumb, don't tell me because it's almost my birthday!!

THANKX all answers(Except mean ones) are welcome.

  1. There are a few things to keep in mind here. To replace all of the lost plastic bags, you're going to have to cut down many more trees before you have enough to recycle over and over again. Plants, the soil, trees, etc. hold three times as much carbon as the atmosphere, so that's alot of carbon being released. Once you have all of the bags, you would have to convince alot more of the public to recycle. Once you have that down, you would be fine! Plus, the paper bags decompose, (Depending on how they were made) which is a very good point. The plastic bag would always be around, and eventually end up in a whale's blowhole. So, to me it's both a great idea, and a bad idea, considering the carbon.

Sorry for for the long answer!

  2. smartest ? iv seen

yes  plastic is here longer than 4=ever

  3. Actually, I prefer cloth bags or reed baskets for shopping, but you have the right idea at heart.

  4. Definitely. Especially if the paper bags were made from recycled paper.

  5. Paper bags definately great idea, plastic packageing is not recycleble also I find it makes fruit and veg sweat, not good, cotton bags good to,also whicker for carrying products,A lot of space, time and energy is wasted dealing with packageing that at the end of the day has very little benefit if any ,happy soon to be birthday mine to this week, take care wendy.

  6. Really not such a simple question...

reusable is the only good answer.

  7. haha, i love the concept! sounds gravy to me... now if only we had a way to recycle food wastes :(

  8. Well, this would cause us to chop down more trees and how do i say this?

trees take a long time to grow, so it takes longer to make paper bags.

petroleum based bags dont take long at all to make.

Most grocery stores like winn dixie (i work there) do offer paper and cloth bags, so just ask for them next time.

  9. Actually it is not dumb it is really smart. Just to add one thing is that all stores should have paper bag recycling at the entrance to their store and you should get a benefit for recycling to promote it like 10% of your next purchase. There is a grocery store near me with plastic bag recycling so I think that all stores should have to the paper bag thing that I just mentioned. Also some areas have actually started to ban plastic bags already. Good ideas. Happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!

  10. well no cuz to replace all that plastic, we would have to chop down a lot more trees to make the paper.

  11. Sure in theory, it would be a better place.  I do recycle the plastic bags I get at the grocery store, I use them for all kinds of things and they make great waste paper liners.  I don't think your questions is dumb, but really, I could care less about your birthday.
