It's getting so bad that I can't even communicate with cashiers at stores, or people who call my house. It's bad enough that I have to go to a new school... I just want to know if there's any way to get rid of my shyness. Please help.

  2. ask people questions about themselves. people like to talk about themselves, its easy cuz they do the talking, and it shows you're interested and friendly. ask what they did during the summer, or about their shirt (esp if it is from an event such as a softball competition etc).

also, confidence makes a huge difference. I know you won't actually be confident, but try to fake it: if you pay attention to who you want to be around or be friends with in a room of people, most likely it will be the people confident in themselves.

  3. Well, the only way is to talk to people or if you want, try to have someone talk to you.  Talk to your parents, siblings, there is no other way around it.  Or maybe trying to chat with someone online?  Someone you KNOW.  Try building self confidence and get comfortable around people.  Try to laugh, smile and set goals for your life.

  4. some personality development courses will help.

  5. I know exactly what you mean! I make my best friend order for me at Wendey's and Mickey D's all the time! My family and friends got so sick of it that they MADE me do it...that really didn't help at all. You've got to get into a state of mind where you think "my interaction with people will help someone" It started when I had to help my brother out in school...soon I was tutoring others and building confidence! Also my grandparents aren't hardly able to walk (but they think they still can run!) so I started getting up and getting them refills at fast food places and running arends for them. Another good way to start talking is to change a subject in a tense silence after an argument. It lightens the mood between the arguers and relaxes the situation. There's lots of way to open up and help people just open your eyes and ears and speak up! Good Luck!!!
