i didnt and never get answers in any other section! i love you guys : )

anyways, i just bought my first item on ebay and it wasnt the cheapest. i mean it was only 100 bucks, but to get ripped off 100 bucks sucks. her feedback is ok, i just really wanted the item.(the cutest pottery barn kids crib set) anyways, im new to this- so how long do you wait before you get mad and try to get your money back?how long does it usually take someone to send your item you won???LOL like i ordered it a week and 2 almost 3 days ago and she still hasnt sent it. (there is no tracking thingy yet) anyways on the day that it was a week i sent her a message and asked her when she would send it and she said it would be going out first thing in the morning, and she didnt send it.

would you wait another week and see if she sends it or contact pay pal now and go ahead and get your money back?? any thing else you can tell me about tracking orders and such? like maybe she sent it but, media mail doesnt track it???

thanks guys!

  1. I would wait one more week. Sometimes shipping can take up to 3-4 weeks, it depends.

  2. How did you pay?

If it was personal check or money order - she's probably waiting for it to clear her bank.  If it was PayPal - the funds are probably in transit from your bank to PayPal to her account.

Also, bedding can't be sent Media Mail.

Personally, I would give her the benefit of the doubt, especially if you're a newbie to eBay.  Give it another week and then file a complaint with eBay.

    Good luck!

  3. Write her again, ask her if she sent it.  If she has not, explain that you would like it sent tomorrow, or else you would open a dispute with Paypal to get your money back.  They are supposed to send it the day your payment clears.  That is what everyone I have ever worked with has done, and that is what I do when I sell things.  Good Luck! If you need further info on how to open a dispute with Paypal, email me.

  4. sew ebay :-)

  5. First you can't send crib sets via media mail. Media mail is for books and dvds and such. She could get in trouble with the post office. Media mail can also take up to 3 weeks for delivery and there is no delivery confirmation on it.

After a week you can contact paypal. If paypal gives you a hard time just call your credit card company and let them know. You will be instantly credited the money back on your credit card and it becomes paypal's problem, not yours.

Don't let yourself get ripped off. Request her contact info and demand she tell you what is up. Ebay only gives a seller 7 days to mail the merchandise after they receive cleared payment... you really won't have trouble getting your money back, but my guess is you want the merchandise more...

  6. It's always a good idea to have your item shipped with a tracking number, pay the extra fees, because it will give you piece of mind.  There is nothing you can do if a seller delays shipment, except threaten to file a grievance with paypal.  Which I would do, unless the seller has a legitmate excuse.  I've gotten things late, and the parcel was post-marked nearly a month after I paid, and repeatedly messaged the seller wondering what was up with the parcel.  I left them negative feedback.  So, I would file with paypal, and they will go after the seller, and hopefully that will prompt them to send your item(s) out.  Good luck.

  7. wait a coupe more days... then try contacting her. Email her 2 or 3 times wait aother couple of days for her responce if u get NOTHING at all. then contact pypal. Paypal is great when it comes to problems. and make sure when u ever pufchase something on ebay make sure it's always done by payal. cause if it's fake or anything they will get ur money back. It happened to me before. soo goodluck

  8. contact ebay and that should do it

  9. In order for a seller to be eligible for seller protection, they mus tbe able to prove that the item was shipped within a week of your payment clearing.

But before you jump all over the seller, let me ask--when you paid her through Paypal, did you use an eCheck?  Because those may take several days to clear, and no seller is going to ship your item until the funds have cleared their Paypal account.

Bear in mind that just because you don't receive an e-mail notification with a tracking number, that does not mean that the item hasn't shipped yet.  When I sell items on ebay and ship them via UPS, I send them through my husband's company, and no automatic notification goes out to the buyer.  That usually only happens when they create the shipping label through Paypal (or another checkout system that has that feature), and not all sellers use those.

I would wait another day or two, and if your item still hasn't arrived,  send her a polite message (use the ebay mesage system, not your own e-mail), and ask her if she could let you know when your item shipped so that you know about when to expect it.  Hopefully she will get back to you and let you know the item is on its way.

  10. If you paid through PayPal, you have to file a claim within 45 days unless they've changed the rules since I had to file a claim.  Good luck and hopefully it will come soon so that you don't have to even go there.
