I know this seems kinda gross...but i have a zit looking thing on my private area. could it be stds?herpes?

It hurts sooooo much.

i know this sounds gross..sorry..

i think i accidentally "poped" it...lots of light brown/yellow pus came out, then it started to bleed.

i have NEVER had s*x...i havent even kissed a guy yet..

but is it possible for me to have stds?

& i saw pictures of genital herpes, and it doesnt look anything like that.

or is it just a zit?

Okay ... lots of scary comments here ... relax!  I'm sure no one has intended to freak you out.  You sound young and inexperienced so I seriously doubt you have a STD.  Most likely you do have an ingrown hair or you have a sweat gland that has become irritated.  Now that the area has drained, I would just keep it dry. In the shower, don't over soap the area, just cleanse as you normally would and pat dry. Watch the site over the next few days to make sure it doesn't get infected.  Wear cotton panties to help facilitate air circulation to the area.  If the site continues to drain and does not begin to heal in the next few days you may need to seek medical care to treat a possible infected sore. Otherwise, you should be fine.

If you've not had any sexual contact- then it is for sure a zit. They happen anywhere where pores are located.

I've had that before - probably just a staph infection. Everyone carries staph on our skin -and sometimes the little buggers just go crazy! It can spread very quickly - and yes it does hurt alot.  I see a dermatologist when it happens to me, a little topical antibiotic and it clears right up. If you don't go to the doctor at least keep it clean and dry and don't squeeze it. Good luck!

Sounds like a plain ole zit.  Women get them down there every now and then.  My friend always called them w***e pimples.  They have nothing to do with s*x or disease.  It is just a pimple and will be just fine...

it could be a zit, or it could be an ingrowing hair, if you can see a bit of hair in the spot get a tweezers and carefully pull it out, don't pull it quickly as the hair could be quite long!  definitely not an STD if you've never had s*x!

if it swells back up/goes bad again go see a doctor or nurse, it's probably an ingrowing hair or it's gotten infected from when it burst!

it sounds like an ingrown hair. not to worry. it should go away in a few days on its own. do not pick at it though. if u have neosporen put some on it.

i get them sometimes in the thigh area.

I had acne in my private area also when I was younger. A pimple or two would pop up right around the time of my period, then it would pop, oozing white puss and blood. Yes it is, painful and gross but it's nothing to worry about. My doctor would tell me to wash down there with facial wash. That didn't work too well for me though, but everyone is different. Thank goodness it eventually went away.

IF YOU GET TESTED EVERY YEAR AND EVERYTHINGS POSITIVE THEN DONT WORRY ABOUT IT.. MAKE SURE YOU DO GET YOUR PAPSMEARE EVERY 6 MTHS TO 1 YEAR .. YOU CAN STILL GET VAGINAL INFECTIONS WITHOUT HAVING s*x...

I would get some 35% hydrogen peroxide (NOT 3.5%) and put it on the zit with a Q-tip. No matter what it is, hydrogen peroxide won't do any harm.

If it is infection, the peroxide will fizz and the zit will turn white. This will itch for about 5 minutes - this is normal.

After the itching stops, put on some aloe vera or other moisturizer which is safe for mucus membrane. The zit will disappear in 48 hours.

If the peroxide does not make it fizz, this is a growth of some kind, possibly a wart. You will need to see a skin doctor with experience in tthe genitals.

Hydrogen peroxide is totally safe for human skin and will not harm healthy skin. It will attack things which do not belong on the skin.

Do not even think about drinking peroxide as it will burn the stomach.

It is probably just an ingrown hair. I get them sometimes, especially in the summer when you sweat a little more "down there".
