I know this sounds odd but does anybody know of any 'hippie' communes in South of England? ?

I am researching for an article, have googled, hit the library etc etc. These things are usually word of mouth.

There is a longstanding one that is on the outskirts of Newtown (Wales) that has had a drift in drift out population for 20 years. Based out of a farmhouse with some land. Was very friendly and non judgemental when i visited some years ago.

Seem to remember one in the Monmouth Valley, living in Teepees if I remember correctly ;)
