...When an important player on your rival's team (or just a team who's competitive w/ your team) gets hurt or on the DL, are you happy that your team won't have to deal with them? Or are you genuinely sorry that they're hurt? Just be honest!

Oh, and this question was inspired by a message that bill k sent me yesterday!

  1. lol, I would go WHOO HOO! and that's the truth XD

  2. A bit of both. I tend to be more concerned that they're hurt than the fact that my team doesn't have to deal with them, because if a team can't beat another team when they have a certain lineup, they can't win at all.

  3. I wish nobody to get hurt & if a star player from your rival is on DL & unable to play & you go beat that team, that team's fans will come back & say something like, the only reason your team won is because so & so was hurt & not playing.  I would rather beat my team's rival at full strength so no excuses can be used by either team

  4. I am ashamed to say that i would be happy

  5. Im not sorry at all. I dont know them and they have a mililon doctors at their disposal to fix them up.

Im glad when they're out of the way.

  6. A little bit of both. Your happy their not their to hurt you but you do geuninely feel sorry for them. But if their replacement ever did something bad to my team them i would wish they weren't injured.

  7. I usually feel bad for the player when he's hurt. Only time i was glad a player got hurt was Albert Belle after he got in trouble for hitting a fan in the chest with a baseball.

  8. for me...its kind of both.

you know, if they are a really competitive and aggressive player I'm like..well, they cant play, i might be able to do a little better. but i still feel so sorry that they got hurt and after games i do go over and ask if they are okay.

  9. Me!!! Both for sure ^^

  10. Both!

  11. i personally enjoy being challenged (as a fan & personally on the field as a player) so i do feel bad that the other player got hurt, because it takes out the fun in that game, there might not be as much excitment or thrill in that specific game and your left with the "What if". So i am honestly sorry they got hurt, at the end of the game, they are human beings and they are going thru pain like anybody else.

  12. im happy, like in 2007 when jose reyes went on the DL and didnt hurt the phills was great

but dont get me wrong i do hope the players r ok, i just dont want them in the lineup

  13. I'd actually feel bad for the rival team and cheated that my team didn't get to beat the rivals with all their guns blazing. I've never wished injury on any of my team's rivals, whether it's the Red Sox, Dolphins, Islanders, Flyers, Celtics, Pacers, Georgetown or Rutgers.

I want my team to beat yours at its peak. That way, you can't fire back about how your team would have won if not for injuries. That and I want to see your best, win or lose.

  14. Celebrate, the pro player is making guaranteed money he's not going to be hurting for cash or losing his house. I do feel bad for college and high school kids who get hurt because they are potentially affecting future opportunities (college) and earnings (pros).

  15. who's Bill k???????????????????

secretly id be happt if i was marking the person but at the same time, id be like "wow that sucks for them, thats bad"

  16. Both.

Happy that I won't have to deal with them,

but feeling sorry for them at the same time.

  17. well both. unless the guy gets on my nerves. lol your glad hes out of the teams way, especially if hes one of their main players, but you dont want him to get seriously hurt, or anything that would be detrimental to his health. (:

  18. um, if you arent good enough to deal with them, the except it. but if they get hurt, ok you dont have to be happy about it, but you should take full advantage of it. If your best player got hurt, they would take advantage of it too. i would feel sorry for them, but i would use the oppertunity.

  19. I guess be happy and sad?

Happy - You don't have to worry about the defeat you did worry about before. You're not worried that they are better than you because their best player is down.

Be sad - Apologize for the team and tell them that you are sorry that their player got hurt, and be sad that they went through the pain that they did.

But don't make a big deal out of it.

    :)

  20. I'b be happy that it'd be easier to win n' stuff but I would feel bad at the same time becuz a person in general got hurt.

  21. hi greta, to answer your question i am genuinely sorry that the

player on the other side is hurt.

  22. happy that they r gone 4 a while

  23. i always feel happy if they get hurt or lose because that means i win...no matter what people say, its human nature to want whats best for you and not for others...but if they get really hurt like if they end up in the hospital then i feel a little bad for them but im still happy for myself...
