I know what the left hand symbolizes, but what does it mean if it was severely sprained in a dream ?

I had a dream where I somehow sprained my left hand, and it just kept throbbing and throbbing, and I was trying to cuddle with my boyfriend but it kept getting jarred and then it would ache again. I can't make the connection between what that might mean and what the left hand symbolizes. Any suggestions ?

Firstly, you may have been sleeping on your left hand in a weird position, and it was hurting you in real life which is why it was hurting you in the dream. This sounds silly, but it has happened to me before! (I dreamt I was running and I scraped my hand on a wall, and when I woke up I really had a scrape on my hand)

Also, if you were trying to cuddle with your boyfriend but you couldn't, it may be that subconsciously something is making you feel like it's hard for you to be with your boyfriend. Maybe it's your own feelings for him, you may be subconsciously still attracted to someone else which makes you feel bad for being with him, or maybe a member of your/his family doesn't approve of your relationship with him.

However it might not be anything to do with your boyfriend. It could be that subconsciously or consciously something is holding you back from doing the things you want to do, and it's really annoying (symbolised by the fact that you can't do anything with an aching hand in the dream).

Or maybe it could be related to something in real life. Have you damaged your body in some way recently, or has someone you know hurt themselves particularly their hands or arms? Even if you aren't thinking about something outwardly your subconscious mind stores everything. That's why usually the things we dream about are things we usually don't ever think about.
