  1. It's the Atchafalaya River, in Morgan City, Louisiana.

    Part of it has been found to touch bedrock...now that's pretty far down in Louisiana!!!

    Google it.

I do not know if this is the deepest, but the first two responders were not correct.  The Drina River in Bajinh Bastaa Serbia has been measured up to a depth of 200 meters or 650 ft.  I wold have to do more research to find the exact answer, but this is the best I could find for now.  I suspect that the Sacramento where is enters the ocean near the Golden Gate Bridge would approach a similar depth, but I am only certain of the first river in Serbia.
