Most of what I have read indicates that 1st time lease vehicle owners are always surprised when they return to the dealer to either get another vehicle or buy the vehicle or finance the vehicle only to find out about all these hidden charges. Anybody ever work with General Motors and have some idea of what to expect?

  1. In most cases, if the car has not been abused, and you have kept it in good shape and have not exceeded the mileage on the lease agreement, there usually isn't a problem turning in your leased vehicle.  If it has been abused, been in an accident or in unkept condition, you could have to pay extra charges for it's condition, or lack of good condition.  Mileage charges are usually what surprises people at lease end.  They exceed the agreed mileage, and have to pay so much per mile over the agreed mileage, which can add up.  Just like renting a car, you have to return it in good shape and pay for extra miles.
