  1. Well, the 8 1/2 week starts after November, so you will have the old BMT, the 6 1/2 week one. I myself am screwed. I am set out for April of next year, so it's 8.5 weeks for me. By the way, thanks for serving our Nation!!!

Re: Marcus, I suggest you learn respect for the enlisted (and that includes NCO's, which are the "backbone" of the military.) Otherwise, well, you'll see what happens. If you end up being a 2nd. Lt., just remember that you may outrank an NCO, but many of them have the ear of a much higher Officer than you...like a Lt. Colonel or higher...just respect and you will be respected. By the way, many enlisted have B.S. and Master's degrees (I am one of them), so don't think that just because someone is enlisted, they are dumber than you.

  2. You'll be going though the 6 1/2 week BMT.

The new 8 1/2 BMT  begins on November 1 of this year.

Im going into the AFROTC program next semester

so u might be saluting me or looking up and seeing me zoom by one day LoL

    Good Luck :)

  3. RE: Marcus, you have a lot to learn how to treat enlisted members. Many a butter bars have been humbled by NCO's and you are on the track to eating some humble pie my friend. Best of luck with ROTC, but still think you should be a man and enlist in the ANG/reserves and go to school that way instead of thinking you are some elitist in ROTC.That way you could have a couple deployments under your belt by the time you go officer and be much better off and have some credibility to the enlisted people who will be deciding whether you can fly or not.

To the  original poster, good luck and you are doing a great thing. Thank you for your intention to serve and push yourself to be the best, everyone will know who you are if you do.

  4. 6 1/2 weeks. I'll be there one week later. See you there.

Marcus RE: By the time you are into the USAF, I will probably be a civilian again or your superior officer. I already have a college degree. Keep the cocky attitude to yourself.
