  1. So if I understand correctly, you've goofed around and not done any school at all when you were supposed to be doing tenth grade at home?  And now you want to "do" tenth grade in two months' time, so you can go back to public school in the 11th grade and be with your friends?

Sorry, sweetie, I think that ship has already sailed.  There's no way you can do a whole grade level in two months, and even if you could, I don't think the public school would accept those courses as credits.  You're pretty much done with public school unless you want to go back in the tenth grade and do it and pass it like everybody else.  Or, you could go to adult ed and get your GED and be done.  Or, you could enroll in one of those schools like Penn Foster or American School or one of the others, and do that at home until you graduate.

  2. Why don't you just repeat tenth grade like everyone else in your situation has to do? There is a good reason Penn Foster won't let you take tenth grade alone in so short a time. It won't give you the preparation you need for eleventh and twelfth grades and later on for college. Talk to the guidance counselor at school about how you can get back on track. Diluting your education just so you can graduate with your friends is not a good idea, but you might be able to make up the missed work over a longer period than two months. You will have to be really committed, though, especially if you still have those family problems you speak of.

Also, it's not just about going through the motions of getting the credits you missed. You will also have to pass tests proving you learned the material. In two months that would be impossible.

A lot of people believe that they "really need" something when the reality is that they "really want" it. There is a difference. You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you can get what you need.

Maybe you could go back into school this school year, and take the classes you need to make up during the summer next year? Good Luck! Good for you for not wanting to be a drop out. You go girl!

  4. Should you enroll in the Penn Foster program, be aware

  5. Hey  go to www.abeka.com They are a great coriculium! I know because that's the coriculium I use and I'm in ninth grade.  You have to do atleast 160 lessons to complete a school year.  if you think you can get all that  done in 2 months go for it. If I were you I would stick to Homeschooling. It's more fun and the school days are alot shorter than public school.    GO TO WWW.ABECKA.COM!!!!!!!!!!

  7. How about a school that offers the K-12 online program? It would be really hard to finish in 2 months but if your worked really hard you might be able to do it. Give it a shot!
