Hey, so today I screwed up. I left my lights on. For about 4-5 hours. Anyway, I got back to the car, and after a mini panic attack once I saw my lights were on, I started the car. The car worked fine. Still, I was nervous.

Anyway, I drove home aware of the fact that the battery recharges. However, the trip home isn't a long one. (About 20 mins going 60 mph most of the way.) I had no problems, but I'm still worried. Do you think it's okay? (I'm not a car person. I'm really not sure.)

Also, if it doesn't start tomorrow, and I jump it and get it to start, will that fix it in total? I won't have to replace it? I really can't afford a car battery as of now, and I'm just really nervous about this whole thing. It's making me feel sick to my stomach.

I just don't know if it's okay at this point.

  1. nooope. its fine.

  2. You're totally fine. Just like when your battery dies and you have it jumped, you let it run for five minutes or so to re-charge. You're fineeee.

  3. If your car battery is flat tomorrowow call the RAA or your local mechanic and get them to drop into your home and charge the battery. It will take around 10-20 mins.

Your car will be fine don't worry about it

    x*x

    good luck

  4. i've done that before and drived home scared, but that was almost a year ago and its always worked just fine

  5. All you need to do is go to bed and get so rest , Tomorrow is another day so no matter with you do now your not going to know for sure until tomorrow comes if it starts or not, until tomorrow i do tell you it is going to start up just fine.

  6. if it started to begin with it'll be fine.

the alternator keeps the battery charged when u run the car..you'll be fine

  7. You're perfectly fine. Don't worry.

Just don't leave the battery on on its own and there's almost no chance that it will run down any further. Especially after that boost of a trip home.

It should be back to normal in no time.
