My contract simply states that in addition to the salary discussed there will be commissions - It doesn't go into detail about how to earn them, when they're due or how they're effected when employment is terminated.

Our company had a commission bonus of $1000 if you introduce someone that they employe. I introduced a guy to they company and they commenced work there. 3 days later I handed in my notice to leave. They terminated my employment that day, paying out my one weeks leave. The commissions never came.

I have contacted them about it several times and they never get back to me. It's been 3 months. Do i have any grounds to stand on to claim this?

  2. Not sure about your company's policy but with mine if we introduce someone to the company and that person gets hired we only get half the money up front, and then I think the rest of it when the person hired works for at least 6 months in good standard..so you may want to see if you can review your policy on that..since you have been terminated not sure if you have access anymore though. Call your Human Resources, they may help you.
