I left my retainer too long in mouthwash...?

i wanted to clean my retainer so i put it in mouth wash this morning and i left to go have breakfast and i totally forgot about it and it was sitting in the mouthwash for about 2 hours....will something happen now? when i put them in my mouth it tasted like when i first got them which was 2 weeks ago. so please help! is something going to happen to them?

Your retainer will be fine. I used to leave mine in mouthwash all the time. Nothing happened.

Once I forgot about my retainers and left them in mouthwash for about a day and a half. They hurt a little when I first put them in because they had gotten a bit smaller but I got used to them. It's no big deal.

Nah it's fine! I asked my orthodontist if that was a good or bad i idea and he said it would just eliminate all of the bad bacteria.

idk wut will happen but i  heard ur not supposed to use mouthwash for it at all..jus clean it every nite with toothpaste
