I left my shirt in the car and it smells kind of funny. How do I get it to smell nice without washing it?

I wore it on top of another shirt on a very cold day to the beach. It got a little salt spray on it, but then it sat in my car for a few days and now it smells a little odd. Not necessarily bad, but not how a shirt should smell. I really want to wear it tonight, but I'm leaving pretty soon. How do I make it smell pretty? Advice, please!

spray Febreeze on it.

As you're driving to your destination, hang the shirt out the car window and wind the window up so it doesn't fall out.  SHould give it a good airing.

put it on the cloths line and just befor you want to use it spray derodent on it  it mite smell okay but i would just wash it

There are a few tricks you could try...

I would first reach for the Febreeze if you have some...

If you have a dryer handy...try spraying the shirt with water to dampen it a little and use a fabric softener sheet in it for the 5 minutes you have to spare

If it is daylight and a hot sunny day...Let it air out outside in the hot sun for a few minutes...this works in the summer in the daytime.

Last resort use some mild Cologne...sometimes the strong colognes might clash with the funny odor there is already...Use is sparsely and check. Add more if it doesn't clash.

Do you have any dryer sheets.  Throw it in the dryer (on high) with a couple dryer sheets for about 10 minutes.  It might help a little.

If you have this problem again you can put it in the dryer with a damp washcloth and fabric softner sheet. It will come out just as if you had washed it.
