  1. You must of forgotten to take a shower too. Your lying. Unless your that slow.

  2. Do not be worried unless you begin to develop a rash anywhere on your body. If you develop a rash head straight to the ER as rashes are related to Toxic Shock Syndrome. If you develop a fever also head straight to the ER as this is also a sign of Toxic Shock Syndrome. If neither of these symptoms are present, you do not have TSS.

I would recommend changing it much more often than that. Tampons can not only cause TSS but also give you uncomfortable infections and leave you with foul odors and itchiness.

  3. 1st of all, i can't believe it, and 2nd of all be greatfull your not sick as h**l.

  4. Don't worry. There have been women who've left a tampon in for weeks, and lived to tell the tale. Toxic shock is actually very rare, and it isn't caused by tampons.

I'm predicting that the worst part of this whole experience will be the embarrassment. You're probably just fine.

If you call your gynecologist, they'll probably confirm that this happens ALL the time.

  5. OMG thats terribleeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your suposed to change it every 4-6 hours.

    not every 4-6 days!

but if you feel fine then idk.

  6. are you serious...? uh... YEAH i would be worried! TSS can happen if you leave it in for longer than 8 hours, and you left it in for a LOT longer than that! i would be seriously worried... check it out! i wouldn't be surprised if you have TSS... its really serious though, i would go to the doc! :o

  7. Take it out or go to the doctors to take it out. You may eventually suffer from toxic shock syndrome. Get it fixed immediately!

  8. does that mean you forgot to take showers too?!?

fair enough you had a busy schedule but make sure next time you get your period, you keep a reminder somewhere!! or alarm yourself! lol

    get it checked out!

  9. I would be worried myself, definitely make an appointment just to make sure everything is ok

  10. I wouldn't worry about toxic shock or anything life threatening but you just allowed your bodily fluids (including vaginal discharge and most likely urine) to build up in the tampon itself and the string. You could have caused an infection in your clitoris or your v****a. Vaginal Discharge and Urine breed incredible amounts of bacteria once they're no longer fresh. It's very important to change them often.

  11. Girl u nasty! That ain't cool at all if I was your husband I woulda been pissed off and utterly disgusted!forget about pool parties..no excuses!!

  12. what were you thinking! yeah i would be worried if i was you. 6 hours max on tampons.

  13. That's a long time.  yes you should be worried.  i would go see your doctor.  The maximum is supposed to be 6-8 hours.  And six days is quite a long time.  I understand it is a mistake, and at least you found it when you did, and something bad did not happen.  But just to be safe I would go see a doctor to be safe, because it was a long time.  This leaves you at risk for TSS, so I would see a doctor.

  14. DO YOU GUYS ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS?

SHE WOULD HAVE A SERIOUS HEADACHE, CRAMPING OR AN ODOR IF THIS HAPPENED.  ITS NOT POSSIBLE....AND IT WOULD HAVE STARTED SLIDING DOWNWARD BECAUSE IT WOULD BE HEAVY WITH BLOOD, p**s AND WHATEVER ELSE SO SHE WOULD HAVE HAD THAT HEAVY FEELING IN HER v****a LIKE SOMETHING WAS IN THERE.

  15. if u left it from last Saturday and today is Thursday u left it in there for 6 days straight? or did u just explain it wrong cus if u didn't then i wud defiantly go an get a check up at the gyno  you are suposed to keep it in 4-6 hours not 4-6 days omfg

  16. toxic shock syndrome. you could die from it, go to a doctor and get yourself checked. the symptoms could come as a flu, or not at all.

  17. I have to say that alot of people on here are really misinformed! first of all when you are towards the end of your period what type of tamon do you generally use? I would say in most cases you use the smallest one ( light days). So for the person who said that it would come down on its own because it would be full of blood and pee well I don't know how much discharge you have towards the end of your period but for most of us it is not very much. Also pee does not come out of the same hole as your period! So it would not be full of pee. To the actual person who had the question I would get checked out if I were you just to make sure there is no infection because whenever there is a bad odor in the vaginal area that most likley means infection. Maybe the odor went away after you removed the tampon but that dosen't mean that the insides of you were not affected. I can see how you would have forgotten that you had a tampon especially if it was the last day and especially if you were using one of the light ones. For the person who said that it would be heavy and feel like there is something in you....if you insert a tampon correctly, you wouldn't feel it at all ESPECIALLY if it is a light one!! So before you all go bashing someone that is asking for advice get your facts straight and be considerate! Never say it won't happen to you because the day it does you may be the one asking for advice and hoping to find an answer and hopefully people won't bash you for your question.

  18. Yes, I'd be worried. How could you not know?
