I left some Chinese out over-night, do I dare eat it?

Got some Chinese on Sunday night. Ate about half, then left the rest in the box, closed it, and left it on the floor. Like 8 hours later, I remembered it, and put it in the fridge.

It's been out in room temperature for around 8-10 hours before it got refrigerated. It smells fine.

Do I dare eat it? Since it's summer, and like 80 degrees in my apartment, is the risk of contamination big? Will it be fine to eat if I nuke it?

  1. After 4 hours, the food is no longer edible. The amount of contamination after the 2nd hour is widespread. You may not have to go to the hospital if you eat it, but I guarantee you that you will be out for at least 1 day.

  2. 80 degrees for 8 to 10 hours.

    Not good... toss it out.

I wouldn't risk it and I eat everything.

  3. Umm NO! Heck No! It is Chinease... that's bad enough... but leavng it overnight... WOW! I like Chinease though! lol

  4. Please throw it in the trash. It's got enough bacteria growing on it to make you really sick, even after you put it in the fridge.

  5. No Way!!!  You are just asking for food poisoning.  Always follow this simple rule: "When in doubt, throw it out."

  6. No. The heat temperature will make it rotten and bacteria might have gotten into it. It's disgusting.
