  1. bleach, use uncut.

  2. Leave it open and let it sit in the sun all day.  That will cut down on the smell a lot.

  3. Try bleach... I live in southeast Louisiana and after Katrina everything in our Fridge went bad! In fact we had a whole turkey that exploded!! What we did is used warm water and bleach. We soaked all the parts that could come out in the bath tub with warm water and some bleach. I know that it can sometimes have a harsh smell so maybe do it out side, then after that clean it with something that smells good. Good Luck I hope this helps!!

  4. Bleach the h**l out of it. Then, to get the bleach smell out and any scent that may remain, boil some water with lemons, let it cool a bit, pour into the cooler, throw some extra lemons in there, let it sit overnight with the lid cracked open so it can breathe just a little.

    Hose out the next day.

  5. You can scrub with Ajax or Comet. If it were me, though, I would get a new cooler.

  6. baking soda hot water and white vinegar. Let it sit over night outside.

  7. Fill it with water & About half to 1 cup of bleach & let sit for at least an hour, then rinse & let it sit open. if the smell of bleach remains too strong rinse again with vinegar or lemon juice & water then clear water

  8. Try 1 part cup of lemon juice and 1/2 part of water. Depending of the size of the cooler will dictate how much you need.  Let sit overnight then was with dish detergent the next day.

  9. bleach

  10. Air it out.

  11. Bleach and water, bleach kills everything.

  12. get a bowl of boiling water and chop some lemons into it, let it cool slightly  and then leave it in the empty fridge over night

it will also make it easier to clean

  13. Bleach will work.  Use one cup of bleach, 1/4 cup TSP or other detergent and one gallon warm water.  That will kill any bacteria or fungus and the detergent will help clean it better.  Rinse well and leave the cooler open and outside in the sun for a couple days.  Sunlight can kill a lot of micro organisms.
