  1. You can check with a lawyer in your state, however, in nearly all states, no; once you have a felony conviction, and they do not need to be gun related, just a felony,  you are not allowed to own a handgun, period.

  2. A convicted felon is prohibitted by Federal law from owning or possessing a firearm.

After 14 years, though, depending on your State, you 'may' be able to have your conviction expunged and your gun ownership rights restored.

Without knowing your State, though, no-one can say any more than that.

  3. It depends on the state, but more than likely it is illegal.

  4. Depends on what the felony was.

    Non-gun, but was it non-violent?

I'm fairly certain white collar felonies dont require a firearm ban, but dont quote me on that, it could just as easily be illegal.

Also, would definitely depend where you live, where i live, its illegal to own non-hunting weapons.

I actually own a shotgun, and a .338 Winchester Magnum Rifle. That thing is like a sniper rifle!

I take it with me when i go nature hiking in case i'm attacked by an animal, that thing could kill a bull elephant if i got the right shot.

  5. did they give you probation?
