I like Danica Patrick but as of late she's been flying off the handle. Do you think she's justified?

Milka Duno is a less experienced race car driver. I think Danica should have given her a break.

  1. Danica Patrick has let her celebrity go to her head.  She needs to win some more races before acting like a prima donna.

  2. Duno can't drive and the IRL will not throw her out.

  3. Danica Patrick is hot and that's all I care about.

  4. All I'm gonna say is at least Danica has some great driving skills and has to drive her way to the top..Duno, he has a rich family ties to that a**hole dictator down in Venezuela that has bought her into every thing out there Duno go us all a big favor go back to Venezuela where ya belong, cause you can;t drive and take Citco with you.

    Go Helio

  5. This incident came prior to qualifications on Saturday. Danica was obviously faster than Milka, and come up beside her. There were at least 2, perhaps 3, times where DP had the faster line, had the angle, but Milka cut her off. Now - if this were to have been a race, we'd be talking a different story, but this was practice, and the risks of cutting someone off far outweighed the gains.

Regarding Milka: She's slow. She's a moving chicane, and may get warned again regarding her slow progress in the IndyCar Series. She desperately needs experience, and I wouldn't be surprised if her team gives her the option of going down to the development league (Firestone Indy Lights). She may get forced down there if she's not improving much by season's end.

Regarding Danica: Look, love her or hate her, you can't ignore her drive, her passion, her daringness. After seeing replays of the cut-offs, I think Danica was in the right to talk to Milka. However, I don't think she should have gone down to her pit stall and confront her in front of her entire team. Had she handled it better (ie, in the paddock after practice or during the driver's meeting), I think everyone would have seen the situation handled more diplomatically and, ahem, lady like. Besides, it's now quoted in the IndyStar.com that Danica has never had a conversation with Milka before (which I find odd, but not shocking).

  6. Milka is way too slow and a danger to the other drivers.  She really should be racing in the development series now and not the IRL.  Maybe this type of racing isn't her thing so she might be better off to go back to sports car racing.  Remember last year that Ashley Judd complained about Milka being slow and now that I did the research Milka's best finish was 11th and that was before the merger and probably with a field of about 18 cars.  Milka shouldn't be out there plain and simple.

  7. Auto Racing isn't for Danica, she should get into p**n or WWE

  8. I agree with Dan D,dalejr4e, #18s #1 Fan (Rowdy's World)

Danica is agressive and she needs to be if she wants respect and if she wants to win.

DAnica was a bit pissed but cursing is normal and I think Duno needs to get over it "bad words".

Duno should have let Danica pass and not have thrown the towel.

Duno has been racing in this series long enough you can't keep giving her a break.

  9. I like Danica a lot and she is a way better driver than Milka but she probably could of handle it a little better ,but also It wasn't that outrageous of Danica go over and talk to her and tell her what she thought, it's a competitive sport and Danica is competitive person who wants to do well and Milka is getting in her way

  10. danica is competitive - if someone "wrongs her" in her mind, she lets'em know. she doesn't care whether it is scott wheldon or milka duno. that's the nature of being competitive. not the first time it's happened with her or any other competitor out there.

as for milka, she drives like a "novice" and is more often an obstacle than a contender. and she didn't just start yesterday. she's been racing a while and still the best IRL pool going each week is "on what lap will milka duno total her car?"

when wheeling around at 200mph+, there is not much room for yet another "novice mistake" from milka or anyone else. she just happens to make more than most.

danica is frustrated, yes, but as a competitor. if she was over badgering milka about using the wrong color eyeliner then i'd agree with you. but she was over there discussing issues and actions which could result in major accidents.

  11. Give Duno a break???

    She's a novice

    You said it RIGHT HERE!!

She's a novice and shouldn't be allowed to run in the IRL.

SHe going to kill someone and needs to prove she can speed up or get off the track.

As for the way Danica handled it, that's too bad.

She blew it in my opinion. I'd have been pissed too but going down and dropping an F-Bomb on another driver is no way to make her drive faster.

Milka has been on probation before, she sucks in these cars, she is a hazard and it's just a matter of time before she really causes a tragety with her slow car.

  12. Justified or not, this is the most questions I think I've seen in the IRL section all season. Controversy creates a buzz, gets people talking, the more people are talking the more tickets sold, the larger the viewing audience.

  13. Danica was justified in being upset this time.  Milka was a rolling chicane out there.  But she also needs to realize that she can't get in other drivers faces every time something happens to her.  Things happen out on the track and sometimes you have to accept that.  If she keeps confronting people everytime something occurs, the other drivers won't listen to her when she does have a legitimate beef.

  14. Danica was right.   I saw nothing wrong with what happen.   Milka is dangerous to all IRL drivers.   An embarrassment to her Team.   Less experience my foot... Experience or NOT..  she is Awful.
