If you are really young, just smile at him. If you are older, flirt with him and be sexually suggestive. Actually, if you are older, try the smiling thing first.

Write a note or email- just something casual and sweet.  If your in a class together that's a good topic.  

Ask a friend- If you have a friend that DOESN'T LIKE HIM TOO ask her to go with you when you talk to him.  She might give you more confidant!  (of course it could backfire)

If you play a sport together- cheer for him, encourage him, if you play a team sport pass the ball to him.

Hopefully you'll feel more confidant and can talk to him face to face. Just be his friend!
