I like being upstream without a paddle so the river can carry me dounstream.?

Why do people say it is bad to be upstream without a paddle.I think it is bad to be down stream without a paddle and trying to get up I mean trying and struggling to go up stream without a paddle.

I always heard up a s#it-creek without a paddle....the other way just makes no sense

Well I guess you are refering to that the fact that the situation is becoming out of your control.

Which is like what it would be if you were up a creek or river without a paddle un-or out of control.
