I like home made Tartar Sauce. Can anyone tell me how t o make it? ?

  1. I take a little mircle whip and dill relish and mix it together and you have tartar sauce. You can judge how much you will need of both by the taste.

    Depending on how much you need depends on how much of each ingredient you use.

    I start with a half a cup of mayonnaise. I add sweet pickle relish to this and finely chopped sweet onion.  A dash of lemon juice and finely chopped carrots (finely chopped). Salt and pepper to taste and mix.

    (you will have to figure out for yourself the quantities i make it by eye)

    Mayonaise

    Dill cucumber

    Baby capers

    onions (only a little bit)

    salt and pepper

    parsley

    Blend the Capers, Dill Cucumber, onions(only a small amount), salt, pepper and parsley and put in a tea towel.  Squeeze out the jiuce so that when you add it to the mayo it wont make it to sloppy.  add some lemon juice at the end if you want but i generally find that mayo should have enough zing.

    remember squeeze out the juice!

    2 t. sweet pickle relish

    1/2 t. lemon juice

    small dash dill weed

    salt and pepper to taste

    pinch of dried parsley

    Mix well.  Chill before serving
