I like opening batting, says David Warner – Cricket News Update
The talented Australian opener, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301, asserts that he loves to open the innings and stay on the crease for long, as he is averse to waiting for his turn, sitting in the pavilion.
As Warner has been called in team Australia’s squad as a cover up player for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SE-Marsh-c2470, the debutant is pleased to play for his national side and take it to triumph with his tremendous batting output. He claims that he is available for the Aussies anytime
and anywhere.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757. The Australian selectors went for Warner, who had been waiting for his Test debut since long. However, Warner will have
to compete with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usman-Khawaja-c2729 for getting a berth for the 2nd Test, starting from November 17.
Talking to the media today, Lloyd said, “I’ve always said the reason that I like opening batting is so I don’t have to wait around all day. I enjoy going out there for ball one and being right in the action but as I started my career I batted middle order,
five and six so I’m pretty flexible."
The young batter is confident of his professional skills which, he believes, will help him out in establishing a promising Test career. He has been going through tough net trainings and practice sessions since long. Now, he considers himself to be quite
ripe for big challenges.
Warner told, “I’ve been batting a lot more time in the nets and have a good structure as well. The work aspect of training has put me in good stead for the games I’m more relaxed and thoroughly enjoying my time while I’m out there. It’s one of those things
you want to keep riding that form wave.”
The opener has also condemned the critics who are reprimanding the Kangaroos for their humiliating defeat in the first Test, avowing that such things do happen in the game.
The 25-year-old played his first International game in 2009, interestingly against the same side. He has 10 ODIs and 29 T20Is to his name.
