I really like it when a guy pines over a girl (i don't know why,but i find it so adorable!). And i like it when they get jealous too sometimes...

All my favorite relationships have the guy pining over the girl, such as Jim Halpert From the Office (tv show), Gilbert blythe from anne of green gables (the movie), Ron Weasly (and james potter!) from Harry Potter (the books), Grigg Harris from The Jane Austen Book Club (the movie), Char from Ella Enchanted (the book and the movie), Seth from the OC (tv show) etc etc.

But i don't like creepy/desperate. And i don't like girls pining after the guy, they whine too much :P

Lol, so does anyone know any books or movies i might be interested in? If so, please share. Thanks! :)

  1. The Uglies Series (Uglies, Pretties, Specials) by Scott Westerfeld. It's not primarily a romance, but it has a good bit in there. They're some of my favorite books, and it sounds like you have a similar taste in books as me.

  2. Twilight!!  I just started reading them  and in a week I have read 3 of the books.  I love them!!

  3. Twilight. Most definitely.

Edward is...amazing. No words can even describe his love for Bella.

  4. Twilight is going to be recommended plenty.

And if you're looking for jealous, it's perfect for you!

Edward most def. is jealous as well as obsessive, moody, creepy, controlling, and stalker-like.

But most girls seem to love him.

I do admit that I read the whole saga.  It kept me wanting more even though I didn't really identify with any of the characters.  I am even looking forward to the movie.  Crazy right?! I know...

Have you considered any Nicholas Sparks books?  He's The Notebook dude.  He has some good ones, but some are for the more mature (read old) group.

All joking aside, I do recommend The Twilight Saga.  Even if you don't like vampires, because Stephenie Meyer's version of a vampire is nothing like you've heard before!

  5. defintaley twilight!!! by stephany meyer

  6. Let's see...

Emma by Jane Austen (it's pretty subtle in the book but a little more obvious in the movie...I prefer the one starring Gwyneth Paltrow)

The Shepherd Of The Hills by Harold Bell Wright

Those are the only two I could think of, that you hadn't already mentioned, where the guy is pining for the girl.
