  1. mother and baby mozart is good

  2. I had massive problems with getting my 3 month old son to sleep.  He would just lie awake and cry for hours, then when he finally went to sleep he would wake every hour or two hours through the night and cry again!  Talk about pulling our hair out .... we were absolutely desperate for sleep!

It was a baby sleep audio program recommended by a friend that finally saved us. We followed the advice and began by creating a baby sleep routine which included bathtime, dimming of the lights, putting Paul into his crib, final nappy change and then lullabies. We also made recommended changes to his naps during the day and used some of the other recommended techniques. Within two weeks he was sleeping through the night most nights with just the odd night where he would just wake once!

Definitely start by creating a good baby sleep routine though and you could find that solves most of your baby sleep problems.

    Good luck!

If you want to take a look, the audio program is at http://www.babysleepsolution.com

  3. I don't know how to send music, but the stuff my kids liked really varied by baby.  Different babies like different things.  One of mine loved Simon and Garfunkel, one loved big band with the scratchy old time recordings, one liked a cd of African lullabies from One World Music, one liked the celtic lullabies from Celtic Heartbeat, and they all really liked an album called "Mozart in the Morning" even though it was really perky, it seemed to be very calming to them.

The big band sound also seemed funny for going to sleep, but my one son just loved it.   Maybe your baby would be soothed by music he or she is used to hearing while you rock together or something you listened to a lot while you were pregnant (hence Simon and Garfunkel).

    Good luck!

The other thing I found really helpful was starting now, when your baby is tiny, pick a favorite lullaby and sing to him every time you put him to bed.   Keep it up, and he will go to bed for you much easier when he is older if you sing the song.   I used a different song for each child.  Some examples are "Hush Little Baby"  "Rock a bye Baby"  and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".  Just a simple little song, but it can do soooo much for calming an overtired child.
