I like the Name Ezekiel for our baby but my wife is concerned about teasing. What do you think? Any middle Sug

Any suggestions for a middle name or alternitives?

I like it. I have a nephew named Ezekiel Alexander so I will suggest that for a middle name. I don't think he will get made fun of at all. If you give him my nephews nn it is very cool. They call him EZ (easy). Kids love it and think it is a cool name.

I think its a very classic, biblical name.  Depending on what part of the country you live in - Zeke is a totally acceptable nickname.  As for middle names.... i'm going with Something that ends in a vowel probably. Two harsh consents back to back is hard.  Ezekiel....  You know the last name here is gonna make or break that first name. That is HARD to come up with a middle name for.  I like Ezekiel Mathew personally... but it depends on the last name.

I really like the name Ezekiel.  Would you want a religious middle name too?  Ezekiel James, Ezekiel Joshua, Ezekiel Mathew, Ezekiel David.  I really like Zeke for a nick name too.  Does your wife like Elijah or Ezra?

"Zeke" is a very cute short form name.

I have always liked the name Emile for a middle name (no it's not Emily, it's Emile as in Emile Hirsch, pronounced eh-MEEL)

But i don't think Ezekial Emile meshes very well together..?

I can't think of a middle name off the top of my head. I can't seem to find any good middle names that would go well with Ezekiel.

But middle names aren't always important. I don't have a middle name but I guess I'm an old-fashioned baby.

ya im not sure about naming him ezekiel...he might not like it and want to be called by his middle name...which would defeat the purpose of having an unusual first name

why not have him named zachary ezekiel, blake ezekiel, josiah ezekiel and have ezekiel be the middle name :)

ummm.... ezekiel is a little unusual. its an old man kind of name. trust me, my name is yael and i suffer so much in school. kids will definately tease him!!!!!!!! i like the name charlie for a boy, its so cute!! or maybe jack, ted, matthew, tom, or maybe ezekielas the middle name!!!!!!!!! good luck!!!!!!!!

Ezekiel is a grand old name with a heritage rooted in the Bible.

For some men who would choose to have a name-short and to the point...ZEKE works great.

well i will insert the same answer i gave someone else who suggested that one of my family names would be the "butt of jokes" for any kid-

anyone that is THAT immature to say something negative about your child's name is the pathetic one. not the name.

children will pick on others about many things, if not the name then something else. i have never worried about such silliness. adults make mountains out of mole hills when it comes to stuff like names for their kids.

i have 4 kids, 2 are aged 12, and 10. believe me there are WORSE things to worry about than if little Johnny is making fun of Ezekiel about his name.

and BTW- i think Ezekiel is adorable! nicknames could be Izzy, Zeek, Kyle..etc.

How is that pronounced? I agree with the suggestion of having that name as a middle name - kind of cool. A more manageable first name would be better I think. What does your husband suggest?

That's my friend's name! Haha. But everybody calls him Zeke. I don't know why he would be teased. I like that name.. But yeah. Have his name be that but call him Zeke. Simple!

Ezekiel is great honorable name for a son, and Zeke is so endearing for short. You cannot go wrong with a biblical name. I like Levi for the middle name, the one you picked is not good, I'm sorry, but it sounds like a slug bug.
