I like this guy, but he doesn't know i exist?!?

Question

i really like this guy who is in my lunch period, I'm probably sure he's older than me, maybe a junior or sophomore, I'm only a freshman. i see him walking around the cafeteria a lot, & i see him hanging out with his guy friends on another table. i realllllly want to talk to him, but i'm scared because he's older, and always seems kind of busy. Any ideas on how to get him to notice me?

Never approach him while he's with his friends. EVER!

try to know what he gets at the cafeteria and someday ask for the same stuff but in front of him. :D

Take your time, get to see if the guy is what you are looking for.

Try to engage him in simple conversation when he is alone.

Maybe you both have the same classes or interests? That will start a nice conversation.

How about trying to stand behind him in line for lunch and accidentally bumping into him so you guys can chat a bit? Just talk about how your a freshman and how you really like the school and ask for any advice or tips and stuff. Or you can always look at him a lot at lunch and it might catch his attention and he'll go over to you. But you never know, he might be in your grade! Lol. And even if nothing happens this year, there is always next year. =] A couple of things not to do is: Walk past him and yell hey hottie! While he's with his group of guy friends. It just seems really weird and you seem kinda out there. Don't gather in your big group of friends and look at him and start laughing. It gives a big give-away that one of you guys like him and it makes it seem kinda stalker-ish. This is all I can think of right now..

if you have friends that know him, make them introduce you OR tell a friend to bump you into him and say sorry in a cute way and be like BTW im your name. and then that way you met , and everytime he says you he will give you a smile or a hi. but don't over do it or he will think your annoying and weird. MAKE SURE HE DOESNT HAVE A GF!! or girl you'll be the most hated person in school.

Don't worry, i'm sure hes a nice person.

This is what i do: When he's not with his guy friends, or walking home, walk by and say hi. Just "hi" can go alongg way. Start a conversation!

Or find his msn or facebook and you could start talking that way. =]

Add him on myspace. And then ask him a question about something on a homework assignment if you don't get it and then that might start a conversation. :)
