I am using AVG 8 anti-virus which is supposed to scan virus, spy wares and rootkits, I have encountered no problem in this free anti-virus ware, it shows rather clearly the objects it scanned, what virus or cookies found, the time and date discovered and I even had the option to decide to delete any of the particular adware such as trojans. However my PC is also equipped with the yahoo anti-spy. In performing the scan, the yahoo antispy found also the cookies, but it can not delete what it found, because it says it needs the administrative right to quarantine the same, nevertheless, I can still click the DELETE ALL and click individual delete one by one, strangely, I discovered that those I remove from the yahoo anti-spy were transferred to the AVG resident shield detention where I can do the manual deleting. Some of those were deleted and the others which considered to be more perhaps dangereous were transter to the AVG virus vault. I would like to know is the procedure I practice correct, and sometime those that are kept inside the virus vault are called infectious trojans, which I manually deleted it. Is it save to do so without waiting the the vault enough time to heal it.
