ok i have a sony handycam DCR-HC38 video camera and i am trying to upload the videos on my computer. well i am using an iLINK cable (IEEE-94) and it has a USB plug on the opposite end. well i did what they tell you to do: plug the cord (usb) side into the computer, and then plug the iLINK side in to the video camera (where it says dv with an i where you plug it in) then turn the video camera on and open the handycam import software and it should come up to say import or whatever. but mine doesnt. it just says "Cannot find the Handycam (Tape).Check the i.LINK connection to the Handycam". i checked it like a million times and it still wont work. can you tell me what i am doing wrong or what to do.!!!!???oh and i have a windows xp laptop if that helps any.and i registered it too.please no usless advice and the best anwser=10pts. i know i wont get many anwsers though bc this is a difficult question.
