I listen to mostly rap bass music. I want 1 Kicker CVX.. What would be a good size sub?

What is the difference sound wise between the different sizes?

kickers suck. yea they get loud but dont sound good at high levels. any jl audio subs will sound good at any level you play at. and if you only want 1 sub go with a 13''

Size is indicative of power levels...Not sound.

For good clear sound without competition level amp(s) I would go with two 8's or 10's or one quality level 12 inch.

Such as a 12 out of a 100 watt Fender or Peavey guitar amp.

(Black Widow or some such)

If you wish to go competition level then start with how ever many channels that you are going to run at 12 inch subs.
