  1. That far away, probably very little unless the winds were blowing that way and carried radioactive debris to your location. You would want to watch the weather reports and have your car full of gas so you could stay out of the debris cloud.

  2. You would survive the blast. Weather you would survive after would depend on your behavior. You would need to avoid falllout and the crowds of people desending on you community.

Do you know something the rest of us don't?

  3. Depends on whether it was an Air Burst, Ground Burst, or below ground detonation.  Depends on the size and type of the bomb as well the intent as in the intended effects; i.e. high neutron release, high energy blast, or cobalt (radiation).  Lastly it would depend on the winds and weather conditions in the area on that day and subsequent days for up to two weeks for critical danger then on to 2 months for less critical but dangerous radiation level exposure.  It is notable that the half life on Cobalt 60 is 5.4 years.  100 miles is close enough to the blast zone to cause significant danger and loss of life to the community located within that zone.  Depending on the size and type, heat and overpressure are, at that distance, a realistic but diminishing concern.  The radiation and electromagnetic pulse may be harmful or potentially fatal.

If a nuclear device is dropped on any city in this country then the effects would be far reaching.   Life as you knew it ends,  and/or doomsday occurs, so you don't really care.  Either way, schools out.  No more parties.

  4. depends on size of the warhead the prevailing wind.

height above the ground the weapon went off.

  5. Not much you would have time to bend over put your head between your knees and kiss your but good by

  6. You would die.  The lucky ones would be vaporized, radiation sickness is not pretty.
