  1. I live in AZ and my husband also got a ticket in CA a couple weeks ago, doing 94 in a 70.  Sadly, I bark at him all the time for speeding...but it is what it is.  He does not have any previous tickets, so he will go to traffic school; I do not think you can in your case.  I Googled the California Uniform Bail Schedule.  It is a 153 page document (in PDF format).  It has a lot of information in it; if you know your citation code you can find it within the document to get your "approximate" fine cost.

Additionally, I viewed http://www.dmv.org/ca-california/point-s... for california and http://www.azdot.gov/mvd/faqs/scripts/fa... for Arizona.  The laws between the two states are different.  For instance, in CA a point falls off your record in 3 years...in AZ it is 5.  The ramifications of the 3rd ticket will depend on what you all ready have on your driving record.  Aside from fines and insurance premiums going up and the possibility of being cancelled on the insurance policy you have...I do not see other ramifications.  I would certainly continue to look into it though.  Because your speed was more than 26 miles over the speed limit, you may have other things that you need to look into.

  2. You might be going to Arpaio's tent city for 2 weeks.

  3. If you are currently in Arizona and don't plan on paying the fines for your citations, DON'T plan on returning to Kalifornia unless you wish to spend some time in the hoosegow, should you be stopped for ANY other reason.  If you are stopped, you may even be subject to losing your license.  I'm not sure how Arizona reacts to the rulings of Kalifornia traffic court judges.
