  1. bank cards will work in any machine in Canada. You will just have to pay a fee of like $1.50 for not using your banks ATM

  2. I've used my credit union debit card all over Canada, the US and in Europe. Virtually every ATM in Canada is on the Interac system.

  3. You can use your debit card wherever you would normally use it. If you do need to get cash out from your bank account, you can use your debit card in any credit union ATM without being charged the extra amount. You just can't use the tellers in the bank since all credit unions are separate.

  4. I have used mine in China many times but, you may need to notify you credit union that you are traveling.

  5. You have to check with your bank and either set it up or if your debit card is a "cirrus" which you can check on the back its a little blue and red picture, then you will have no dramas

  6. check with about extra charges

  7. You can use your debit card in another bank machine but they will charge you a fee.

  8. Yes, you will be able to use it.   If you are worried about it, ask your credit union so that you can have peace of mind about it.
