I live in California. I am applying for E2 US Visa. Can I use a US lawyer instead of UK lawyer.?

As an alien from UK, I realise the documentation may still have to go through US Embassy in London. But would like, if possible to do all the necessary via a US lawyer

well, why would you want to use a British lawyer, most don't have that much experience with US immigration law, which is the point after all. So, yes, certainly you could use a US lawyer, if you have the funds.
